Breeder Referral

The IVKC all breed breeder referral service was created in 1963.  This free service is provided to the pet buying public by volunteer members of IVKC.  We have an extensive database for virtually all pure bred breeds recognized by the AKC and many UKC breeds as well.  As there are over 135 pure bred breeds recognized by these registries, not all of them are either available at all times, or are they are not available in central Illinois.  We will provide you with the nearest reputable breeder, as well as information on the contact for the National Breed Club of the breed you are considering.  Even though these may be from out of state, contacting them can result in the location of a breeder or member who lives closer to you.

Note:  This is not an order desk, nor are you calling a business.

Our service can assist you with:

1. Questions about our upcoming events.
       a.  Entry information for our Match and All Breed shows
       b.  Location of our events
       c.  Judging times for breeds are available the weekend before the show date, we do not have this information back from the Superintendent prior to that.
2. Questions on AKC registration, or other AKC matters.  If we do not have the information, we will refer you to the proper AKC office.
